Working Group Descriptions
Communications Working Group
The objective of the Communications Working Group it to develop a series of tools to facilitate communication between riding associations and the Central Office, between riding associations themselves, and between riding associations and the public at large.
Education and Training Working Group
The objective of the Education and Training Working Group is to assist in improving the training and education of members throughout Metro.
- To develop training and educational resources to fill existing gaps, if and when requisite resources become available.
- To assess needs for training and education, by consulting with riding associations and equity seeking groups.
- To assist Provincial Office in linking existing educational and training resources to those riding associations and equity seeking groups in greatest need.
- To work closely with Provincial Office in identifying existing resources centrally and across Metro.
Program and Policy Working Group
The objective of the Program and Policy Working Group is to develop a political perspective for the NDP that recognizes Metro’s particular characteristics and challenges. The group will identify and develop policy responses to issues of particular interest to Toronto as well as to the NDP in general.
Riding Development Working Group
The objective of the Riding Development Working Group is to create a series of activities that will help to promote the growth of riding associations throughout the city, by concentrating the collective efforts of activists in a coordinated manner.
