TAC AGM By-law Amendments
Notice of Proposed By-law Amendments:
Amendments to TAC’s Bylaws will be considered during the morning session of the TAC AGM February 19.

1) Proposed amendment by insertion of new section to appear as By-law 4.3, text below:
3. Article VI.2 i) of the TAC Constitution states that all Toronto Area NDP members in good standing are eligible to be elected to the Steering Committee. Members wishing to stand for election to the Steering Committee shall be present at the General Meeting where the election takes place, or in the event a member wishing to stand for election cannot be present at that meeting, the member shall inform TAC’s Secretary in writing of her/his willingness to stand for election. The written communication may be delivered to TAC’s Secretary by hand before the vote is taken. The written communication may also be made electronically or by postal service provided that delivery is received by TAC’s Secretary at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the General Meeting at which the election takes place.

In section 6.6.b delete “at the first Working Group meeting following a TAC Annual General Meeting” and replace it with “at the third Working Group meeting following a TAC Annual General Meeting”
